Community Support
Support exists - we just need to make this a reality
We've heard from a variety of stakeholders through street canvassing, Community Board 5 presentations, discussions with Business Improvement Districts, and our survey and petition. We've also seen hundreds of people come out to our events like the MP3 experiment to support The BLiP Vision. We've heard a lot of support for this vision while receiving valuable feedback on how to best design and implement The BLiP.
A 2017 Pedestrian Intercept Survey found that 81% of the New Yorkers surveyed want a car-free Broadway. Large numbers want pedestrian- and bike-friendly amenities that the Broadway Linear Park can deliver. Join us to help deliver this vision.
